Born in Japan, brought up in Germany, maya started creating art works in 2009. Along with live-painting show at music events, bike frame designs, and producing floor display for apparel brands, she has created installation works at group exhibition such as “NeonFes”(2010) and “GUNKAN crossing”(2011). Recently working on paintings and murals.
1982年、大阪府生まれ。幼少期をドイツで過ごし、2009年より作品を発表。音楽イベントでのライブペイントや、自転車フレームの装飾デザイン、アパレルブランドの店頭ディスプレイを手がけるかたわら、NeonFes（2010年）、GUNKAN crossing（2011年）などのグループ展でインスタレーションを展示。近年は絵画作品、壁画の制作に取り組んでいる。

ZINE - DAILYWORKERS issue “RIDE”

DAILYWORKERS is a project by group of artists to document “truth” in form of zine,
originally planned by an artist REI (Reijiro Mochizuki/hatos).
Great artists including REI, JUN INOUE, SAL, Hooky(Soichiro Fukuda / Tripster,
++are joining this project to make their own issue of DAILYWORKERS.

maya KOMAGOME solo exhibition
”Light Pillar”
このたび、下北沢駅から徒歩３分の複合商業施設「三久ビル」の外壁に、
壁画作品 《Light Pillar》が完成いたしました。地上3階建てのビル全面に及ぶ
縦10メートル横15メートルの大作完成を記念し、2ヶ月に渡るその制作の過程と
関連作品を公開するエキシビションを開催いたします。
実際の壁画作品とあわせて、ぜひご高覧ください。
A mural work on a building close to Shimokitazawa station in Tokyo Japan
by artist maya KOMAGOME has completed on June 2011.
Celebrating this completion of huge painting which covers a side of whole
3-stories high building, an exhibition will be held to unveil the significance of this 10-meter long, 15-meter wide painting, along with some other works linked to the mural.

“floating lights”
An installation for a sports fashion brand “Phenix” at its store at Kichijoji Tokyo.
A flock of birds used as a main motif in the last two installation was reinterpreted as to express the brightness of the coming season in this work which moves as if those birds fly around the air.
Thanks to everyone, 2010 turned out to be truly meaningful a year.
So many new works and projects, like Ceramics, LivePainting videos,
Wall Paint, Bike frames, and Installation works could be released.
